Nathalie is from Louvain-La-Neuve, where she has taught chemistry for the past 20 years. She was enthusiastic about Amgen Teach "IBSE methods are important for students."

Because of her awareness of IBSE methods, Nathalie previously used an inquiry-based approach in her classes, but Amgen Teach gave her fresh insights into how to extend its practical use. She praises Amgen Teach original experiments, which "force the students to use another way of thinking. They must engage to solve the problem."

Natalie noticed her students taking more interest in science on her first day back in the classroom after she participated in the training. She introduced them to some fairly basic lab equipment and, on seeing how pipettes and a spectrometer could be used in practice, the students were captivated and completely engaged with the class. In short, it was a real "a-ha!" moment, she says.
