Petr Distler, Czech Republic

Peter is a Chemistry teacher in a secondary school in Prague, Czech Republic, teaching to students in 6-13th garde. He has worked as a teacher for three years and has been involved in Amgen Teach for one year. Since first engaging in the programme, he has participated in all the different types of Amgen Teach activities since his enrolment in the programme last year. Read his story.

Murielle Treil, France

Murielle, a physics and chemistry teacher with 23 years of experience, has been a part of Amgen Teach for one year. She considers participating in the Amgen Teach trainings as an opportunity to further engage in inquiry-based activities for adults, to share views with researchers on the process of scientific research and to build inquiry-based pedagogical content together with other participants and trainers. Róisín Uí Choinn, Ireland

Roisin has been teaching science, biology and physics for 14 years. Özlem Ortak Kilinç, Turkey

Özlem is an experienced Turkish teacher enrolled in the Amgen Teach programme since year 1. In relation to the Amgen Teach activities organized in her country, she thinks that: "The training was very useful. At university they teach you inquiry based methods, but the theoretical knowledge given is not enough for real teaching, we were not prepared to apply those methods at school with our students. Amgen Teach provide me with real life applications and methods to apply them in my lessons". Read her story.
