Radek is an experienced chemistry teacher, who joined the Amgen Teach Community for the second and third year of the programme.

When asked about Amgen Teach, Radek responds by saying, "Activities within the Amgen Teach programme have encouraged me to use inquiry-based teaching methodology in my classroom. Before Amgen Teach, I used IBSE activities a little. However, after the Amgen Teach training, I felt more confident, knowing that there are more IBSE activities that really work and could be directly applied in my classroom."

Radek also highlights the fact that materials from the project, like worksheets, pre-work activities and laboratory manuals were readily available and helped him incorporate IBSE into the educational process.

In fact, Radek asked his students to participate in two Amgen Teach conferences, held in the Czech Republic . "We separately attended different parts of the conferences and shared our experiences. After returning to school, the students who participated in the conference were encouraging other students to participate and learn from IBSE-based lessons." This has helped Radek motivate his students and further enrich the curriculum.
